Holbrook Council on Aging postpones Safe in Your Home presentation

The Holbrook Council on Aging announced the postponement of its ‘Safe in Your Home’ presentation meeting on Tuesday after a scheduling conflict. The original date, April 8th at 11:30 p.m., will be rescheduled and announced on the Council’s Facebook page. 


“We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding,” said the COA in a Facebook post. “A new date will be announced soon–stay tuned for updates!”


The presentation will be in collaboration with Star Care Works, a Community Health Accreditation Partner (CHAP) accredited home health agency based in Whitman, MA. The topics discussed will be fall prevention, bathroom safety, medication safety, emergency preparedness, mobility & assisted devices, kitchen safety, and home environment. 


Star Care Works serves clients in the Holbrook community by providing skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and home health aide services, ensuring continuity of care.


The COA has yet to announce a rescheduled date for this presentation, but has other events scheduled beginning in April. There will be a pajama social on Thursday, April 16th, at 12:30 p.m., Crochet with Chrissy on Wednesday, April 22nd, from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Pool Noodle Hockey on Thursday, April 23rd, at 10:30 a.m, and a Drumming Circle on Monday, April 27th, from 11:00 a.m. to Noon.
